A bridge between the ancient arts and connoisseurs of rich textiles, at Weaver's Studio we truly believe in - using as many hands as possible to create garments worth treasuring for years to come! At Rangeen, Weavers Studio's production facility in Kolkata, textile traditions including Jamdani, Shibori, Kantha, Pojagi, block printing and hand dyeing are practised by hand and pushed into new territory. This is a space where a designer's brief meets three decades of accumulated craft knowledge, where the unexpected gets worked out in cloth, not on a mood board.
For designers and brands who want textiles made with that kind of rigour and curiosity, the conversation is open.

Every archive, if it is alive, eventually speaks back. The pelangi of the Anteng reinterpreted in three contemporary pieces at our studio. A scarf or a sari, each carrying the memory of the archival piece forward, in colour, in motif, in the slow pleasure of cloth tied and dyed by hand.

At Weavers Studio, precision is a practice.

A generous review of Textiles from Bengal: A Shared Legacy in the Journal of the Oriental Rug and Textile Society.
Sarah Mahaffy reads the book that maps the long history of Bengal's cloth: muslin and raw silk, the Swadeshi khadi movement, kantha embroidery and the songs of the women who made it, and the trade routes that carried Bengal's textiles to Portugal, Holland, France and America.

Sweeping between fact and fiction, silk and river, exile and arrival, Textile Talks invites you to an evening with Paula Sengupta's _a river of unrest… a delta of dreams._
A body of work that maps a king's fragile journey from the Gomti to the Hooghly to the Mara —in batik, shibori, and the slow language of embroidered memory.

A tussar shirt treated as canvas. Hand-painted and block-printed, the pigment laid directly into the silk's slub and grain. Ochres, rust, charcoal, the palette of a studio table at the end of a working day. Cut asymmetric, collared, finished by hand. Wearable painting, in the most literal sense.

A true Weavers Studio speciality, combining multiple craft techniques enables us to create truly unique garments and textiles that would not be possible otherwise. And wearing these Multi Craft designs is like carrying a story of global craftsmanship and identity.

Each piece melds techniques like Japanese Shibori with Bengali Kantha and Block Prints with Shade Dyed fabrics, enhancing the texture and visual depth. Enhanced with exquisite details such as mirror work, handcrafted triangular accents, and Badla embellishments that shimmer like constellations.

Each addition of technique reflects the skill and creativity, while enhancing and complementing the overall design.
