LMF had organized a medical and public awareness camp at Padali Khurd, on June 6, 2026.

124 daily-wage workers and locals took part in this camp. They were tested for HIV and VDRL and screened for TB and STI, and their calcium, sugar and CBC blood tests were also conducted.

Athayu Hospital team conducted screening for urinary disorders and provided guidance about the same. Swastik Hospital team carried out ECG testing for those required, and conducted free eye checkup.

In this camp, efforts were taken to raise awareness about HIV, STI and TB during which participants were informed about the causes, symptoms, preventive measures, importance of timely testing and treatments for the same. The camp helped in increasing overall health awareness among the participants.

Dr. Santosh Jadhav who was present for the camp, carried out medical checkup of all the workers and guided them about overall well-being.

LMF in collaboration with Sarthak Arts, Social and Cultural Foundation, Kolhapur had organized Spandan program for overall development of children. This was held 30th May from 10am to 5pm at Udyam Society Hall, Kolhapur.
The program included different activities

Computer Activity: Children learnt about computer parts, their functions and various career opportunities in the computer field.
The session was conducted by Mr. Sandip Patil.

Dance Activity: Children performed on different songs. They learnt about rhythm, music tempo and performed the dance with grace. This activity was guided by Ms. Samruddhi Dabade.

Painting Activity: in this session children learnt about water colour techniques, various colour combinations, strokes etc. ways to fill colors and artistic skills. Mr. Anil Ahire also guided children about career opportunities in art.

Felicitation: Six students who completed 10th and 12th standards were felicitated by Dr. Sanjay Kumbhar from Sarthak Foundation and Mr. Anil Ahire.

The Spandan program was conducted by the children themselves through anchoring and by giving vote of thanks. This helped them to develop confidence, leadership skills and teamwork.

Dr. Kimaya Shah, the trustee and director of LMF, Admin Officer Sucheta Bendre, along with 60 children and 15 parents were present for this event.

Spandan successfully conducted with the aim of developing creativity, confidence and overall personality development among the children.

LMF (Migrant Project) organized a street-play at Bhoomi Industries, Bharat Benz, and Elcom Industry, Shiroli, to spread awareness about HIV, STI, and TB among on-site and migrant workers.

Through interactive street theater, workers were educated about symptoms, prevention, safe practices, timely testing, and free treatment options. The program also focused on breaking myths and reducing stigma related to these health conditions.

The initiative received an encouraging response, with active participation from workers during the Q&A session. We look forward to conducting more such awareness programs in the future!

LMF in collaboration with Kamgar Kalyan Mandal had organized a medical and health awareness camp at Elcom Industry, Shiroli MIDC.

In this camp, 44 workers were tested for HIV and VDRL and screened for TB and STI. Free eye checkup was also conducted for them. Efforts were taken to raise awareness about HIV, STI, TB and VDRL by providing information about their symptoms, causes, preventive measures, importance of timely testing and treatment. This helped in creating health awareness among the industrial workers.

Dr. Shivam Mane present for the camp, conducted thorough medical checkup of the workers and guided them about overall well-being.

LMF in collaboration with Borewell Owners Welfares Association and Travels Association had organized a medical and health awareness camp at Tavade Hotel Site, Kolhapur.

51 Borewell and Travels drivers took part in this camp during which they were tested for HIV and VDRL and screened for TB and STI.

Athayu Hospital team conducted screening for urinary disorders for all the workers and provided guidance about the same. Medicines were given for free to those required and free eye checkup was also conducted.

Efforts were taken to raise awareness about HIV, STI and TB and information was provided about their symptoms, causes, preventive measures, importance of timely testing and treatment. This helped in raising health awareness among the workers.

Dr. B.B Patil carried out thorough medical checkup of the workers and provided guidance about overall well-being.

LMF had organized medical camps on May 8 and May 13, during which participants were tested and screened for HIV, VDRL, STI and TB. Free eye checkup and overall health checkup was also conducted for them.

The camp on May 8 took place at Sambhajinagar Nirmam Chowk, Bhagyalakshmi Construction. 42 site workers participated in this camp. Dr. Shivam Mane carried out health checkup and provided medical guidance to all participants.

The camp on May 13 took place at Fulewadi Krishna Construction. 46 workers participated in this camp. Dr Shivam Mane carried out their health checkup and provided them with medical guidance.
