Baking after a long break. But for this occasion I just had to..! Amma's 70th birthday.

Thanks to my sis and her mighty energy bomb kids we had a cozy ambience set up in less than an hour!

Almond chocolate cake- the least I can do for amma

A Christmas Cake for my new officemates! I decided to treat them with chocolate and vanilla layers sandwiched with mocha buttercream. The 3kg cake stood tall with a christmas tree adorning the side. Enjoyed every stage of baking and decorating this cake.

Baking seems to be a far fetched dream with my life taking a surprise turn. Though its exciting to be working with a dynamic group of people, I must admit Im missing out on a lot of things that I had taken for granted earlier..like baking. Amidst all the chaos of christmas round the corner and a lot of projects kicking off at work, I truly enjoyed baking this special cake for my colleagues on the occasion of Christmas celebration. Heres to an exciting year ahead for ThoughtMinds!!

Every cake has a lovely story behind it. Though I am on a break from baking, I couldn't say no to this customer for whom Ive been baking cakes for her 3 daughters for the past few years. And boy I am glad I didnt! Loved every bit of the process which reminded me why exactly I love baking.
