The land of famous "Machail Mata", home of world famous precious stone "Sapphire", virgin peaks & naturally blessed views.
The whole population of Paddar is the amalgamation of the different communities mainly Hindus, Budhists and Muslims which have arrived from the surrounding areas like Zanskar and Himachal. Pre independence Paddar was a tehsil which included the Zanskar region in Ladakh. After independence the status was taken away from us which was finally restored in the year 2005.
