SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS DRUG PEDDLER WITH 9.87 GRAMS HE**IN LIKE SUBSTANCE ALONGWITH MOBILE PHONE AND WEIGHING MACHINE

Samba: May 31, 2026: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers in the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered approximately 9.87 grams heroin-like substance (Chitta) alongwith one mobile phone & a digital weighing machine from his possession.

A Police team of Police Station Bari Brahmana during patrolling in the area established a Naka at Nihalki near Shiv Temple and intercepted a pedestrian who was coming from Sarore and moving towards Nihalki under suspicious circumstances. During frisking, approximately 9.87 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) alongwith one mobile phone & a digital weighing machine was recovered from his possession.

The drug peddler identified as Rakesh Kumar S/o Madan Lal R/o Ward No. 07 Near Chinta Mani Mandir, Katra district Reasi has been arrested and contraband item alongwith one mobile phone & a digital weighing machine has also been seized.

A case FIR No.140/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.

*J&K Police Kathua Booked 01 Notorious Drug Peddler Under PIT NDPS Act at Billawar*

Kathua; 30 May:- In a major success against drug peddlers, *UNDER NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN* J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* has booked one notorious drug peddler under the PITNDPS Act following multiple involvements in NDPS-related offences.

On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, a detention warrant vide Order No. PITNDPS 24 of 2026 dated 26-05-2026 was issued against the accused *Pardeep Singh Sumberia S/o Bishan Singh R/o Ramkot Tehsil Ramkot District Kathua* a habitual drug peddler.

Today Police party of Police Station Billawar led by *SHO Billawar* under the supervision of *SP Ops Upper Kathua and SDPO Billawar* arrested the accused and executed the said warrant Under Section 3 of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988, after the approval of the competent authority.

The said accused has been found involved in the following NDPS cases:

1. FIR No. 554/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act of P/S Rajouri.

2. FIR No. 14/2026 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act of P/S Billawar.

The accused is a repeated offender and had created a sense of fear among the public by his illegal activities. His detention under PITNDPS will send a strong message to other drug peddlers and anti-social elements.

After completion of necessary legal formalities, the accused has been lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.

Locals of Kathua District have appreciated the Anti Drug Initiative of Kathua Police.

विज्ञप्तिकठुआ, 30 मई: नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान में जे&के पुलिस कठुआ को बड़ी सफलता मिली है। एसएसपी कठुआ सुश्री मोहिता शर्मा (IPS) के समग्र नेतृत्व में पुलिस ने एक कुख्यात नशा तस्कर को PIT NDPS एक्ट के तहत गिरफ्तार किया है।डिविजनल कमिश्नर जम्मू के निर्देशों पर आरोपी परदीप सिंह सुम्बड़िया पुत्र बिशन सिंह निवासी रामकोट, तहसील रामकोट, जिला कठुआ के खिलाफ आदेश संख्या PITNDPS 24/2026 दिनांक 26-05-2026 के तहत निरोधात्मक वारंट जारी किया गया था। आरोपी लंबे समय से नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी में शामिल रहा है।आज थाना बिलावर की पुलिस टीम ने SHO बिलावर के नेतृत्व में तथा SP ऑपरेशंस अपर कठुआ और SDPO बिलावर की निगरानी में आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर PIT NDPS एक्ट, 1988 की धारा 3 के तहत जारी वारंट को सफलतापूर्वक लागू किया।आरोपी के खिलाफ पहले से निम्न NDPS मामले दर्ज हैं:FIR नंबर 554/2025, धारा 8/21/22 NDPS एक्ट, थाना राजौरी।FIR नंबर 14/2026, धारा 8/21/22 NDPS एक्ट, थाना बिलावर।पुलिस के अनुसार आरोपी एक आदतन अपराधी है और उसकी अवैध गतिविधियों से क्षेत्र में भय का माहौल बना हुआ था। PIT NDPS के तहत की गई यह कार्रवाई अन्य नशा तस्करों और समाज विरोधी तत्वों के लिए कड़ा संदेश है।सभी कानूनी औपचारिकताएं पूरी करने के बाद आरोपी को केंद्रीय जेल कोट भलवाल, जम्मू में निरुद्ध कर दिया गया है।कठुआ जिले के लोगों ने नशे के खिलाफ पुलिस की इस मुहिम की सराहना की है और जे&के पुलिस कठुआ की इस कार्रवाई का स्वागत किया है।यह संस्करण समाचार, फेसबुक पोस्ट या न्यूज़ स्क्रिप्ट के रूप में उपयोग किया जा सकता है।
