​If a woman’s depression is often described as a "sinkhole" (imploding inward), a man’s depression is often an "outburst" (exploding outward) like shouting, road rage , escalating arguments into rage or a "numbing" (shutting down) as if finding no joy in activities the one used to like, lack of physical activities and excessive or lack of sleep and most of the time seeking help of alcohol or other substances to numb the pain

Why is there a strong need to over-explain or a strong push to justify yourself every time ? "Your Friends don't need it and your enemies don't believe it."

If you are struggling with overthinking , a strong need to over explain yourself to others or an inner push to make people understand you and try to give constant explanation so that people can see you in the right light but ultimately feel exhausted or a constant sense of fear of rejection keeps you nervous.... chances are high you have experienced abuse and trauma and living under its shadow But the good news is that you can always reverse this.
