TRAGEDY STRIKES AGAIN: Kishtwar Devastated by Cloudburst - Over 60 Dead, 100+ Missing

A catastrophic cloudburst struck Chositi village in Kishtwar district, J&K on Thursday, triggering flash floods and landslides that claimed over 60 lives, with more than 100 people still unaccounted for.

The disaster, occurred near the Machail Mata temple during peak pilgrimage season, swept away a community kitchen and several structures, engulfing pilgrims and locals.

Rescue operations by the Army, NDRF, SDRF, and police are underway, but heavy rainfall is hampering efforts. Over 120 people have been rescued, with 100 injured, 30 critically.
