A fresh political row has erupted after PDP leader Iltija Mufti said she would not be forced to chant slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”

Security forces recovered a live shell near the Samba border, triggering a swift response from bomb disposal teams.

The explosive was found in the border area, after which the site was secured to prevent any danger to locals.

Youth and locals in Rajouri staged a protest against GMC and Associated Hospital Rajouri after the death of Nusrat Jahan triggered serious allegations of medical negligence.

According to her family, Nusrat had been admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, where they alleged she was given an injection despite earlier medical advice against it.

They claimed her condition deteriorated soon after, following which she was shifted to a ventilator and later died.

The protestors demanded strict action, an FIR and accountability from those allegedly responsible.

Amid public anger, GMC Rajouri formed a four-member inquiry committee to investigate the circumstances of the death and examine medical records, treatment protocols and staff statements.

Two healthcare workers were also suspended pending inquiry.
