Eco Riders

we are just riders who are attempting to drive the nation towards greener environment so that every individual should breathe fresh and pollution free air.

EcoRiders is a group of persons who loves and cares for humans and environment. We understand the importance of “Green” both in terms of environment as well as human health. Today when more that 10 million people all over the world are suffering due to air contamination and more than 7 million people die due to it, we EcoRiders have joined our heads and hands together to tackle the grim problem of

deteriorating environment with a commitment to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel by at least 10% and gear up plantation. Petrol and diesel are not the only source of pollution but in today’s scenario they are the major contributors of pollution. So we just took a step forward endeavouring to make our environment healthier and pollution free. We believe that healthier the environment healthier the whole world. Working of Eco Riders is based upon following true hidden facts:
1. One litre of petrol produces 2.4 kg of CO2
2. One litre of diesel produces 2.7 kg of CO2
3. One tree consumes 48 lbs of CO2 which is approx. 21.77 kg/year
4. One acre of land with trees is equals 20 ACs
5. WHO in 2013 survey 7 million people die due to air pollution.
6. Two mature trees can provide enough oxygen for a family of four. So based on these facts:
On an average a person runs his vehicle 40 km a day and taking the average mileage as 18 km/ltr then 40/18 =2.2 litres of petrol is required which means 2.2 *2.4 equals 5.3 kg of CO2 in one day and in one year its 5.3*30*12 equals 2067 kg of CO2

To absorb this amount of CO2 we require 2067/21.77 equals 95 trees/year/person. What EcoRiders Do?
1. Every member plants atleast 8 plants in a month or 2 plants on every Sunday as per member’s convenience to support EcoRiders campaign.
2. Every member promises to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel by minimum 10% and use eco-friendly way of transport.
3. We choose bicycles as means of transport to reduce the consumption of petrol and Diesel by minimum 10% to make our rides eco-friendly. We are neither cyclists nor have any aim to become a cyclist, we are just riders who are attempting to drive the nation towards Green so that every individual of the nation breathe fresh and pollution free air and to reduce global warming. Every individual who is working for this serious issue is actually an EcoRider. That’s what EcoRiders is all about. So be an EcoRider, here every single effort counts and every single effort may give life to someone. That’s how we fulfil our dream of “A Ride Towards Greener Tomorrow”.
