Help In Suffering
Help In Suffering (HIS) is more than a charitable trust; it's a beacon of hope for the speechless beings we share our planet with.
Our vision is to create a humane and compassionate Jaipur where animals can access quality treatment and care. Help In Suffering is a registered Indian charitable trust working for the benefit of the animals of India. Help in Suffering was founded in l980, on two acres of land in south Jaipur and has grown into a large animal welfare organisation with a number of projects based in the compound. A

During our visit to Vijaypura, we attended a camel owned by Mr. Dinesh presenting with signs of diarrhea. The animal was weak and frequently passing loose, watery dung, indicating a digestive disturbance; seeing an animal in such discomfort is always a reminder that they depend entirely on our care and compassion.
Clinical Findings:
* Weak condition
* Frequent watery f***s
* Signs consistent with gastrointestinal upset
Treatment Provided:
* Anti-diarrheal medications
* Supportive therapy to prevent dehydration
Advisory to Owner:
* Maintain proper feeding practices
* Ensure access to clean and safe drinking water, because even small improvements in care can make a big difference in an animal’s recovery and well-being.

Today, on Earth Day, we turned on more than a solar system.
At Help in Suffering (HIS), Jaipur, our shelter is now powered—significantly—by clean, renewable energy.
With support from D S Group, this transition strengthens our ability to care for the 9,000+ animals we treat each year—ensuring that more of our resources go where they matter most: treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation.
Because for us, sustainability is not separate from care—it is what enables it.

A week ago, we rescued a tiny hedgehog, unaware that she was carrying a secret far bigger than herself. In the quiet of care and safety, life unfolded in the most unexpected way she became a mother.
Soon, delicate newborns arrived, their soft pink bodies and tiny spikes a reminder of just how fragile and beautiful life can be. What began as a simple rescue turned into a powerful story of trust, survival, and new beginnings.
Moments like these remind us that every life we protect holds a story we may never anticipate but one that’s always worth cherishing.

A day filled with learning, laughter, and little paws 🐾
We were happy to host around 140 students from Akashdeep School (Classes 6–9) at our shelter. What began as a visit turned into a meaningful experience of empathy, connection, and understanding animal welfare.
Moments like these go beyond classrooms — they help shape kinder, more compassionate individuals
We encourage more schools and institutions to introduce Humane Education sessions and give students a chance to learn this firsthand. Small steps today can create a more compassionate future.

Where there is compassion, there is always hope.
Kelash from Pushkar came to us with a heartbreaking case—his camel’s lower jaw was badly fractured, and it hadn’t been able to eat or drink. After being turned away multiple times, he refused to give up.
We treated the camel and repaired the fracture, bringing relief. But an unexpected setback caused the jaw to be injured again, making the case even more critical.
Standing by the case, we returned with Dr. Pramod and successfully repaired the fracture once again with advanced care.
Today, the camel has made a strong recovery, reminding us that every life deserves effort, empathy, and a chance to healkumar .jain.142035 *ta_nagar21

As our day was drawing to a close, an urgent call reached us—Laxman’s camel had been severely injured while grazing. When we arrived, we found the animal in excruciating pain, its wounds deep and bleeding. Our team acted without hesitation, swiftly controlling the bleeding, treating the injury, and meticulously stitching it to preserve both life and limb.
For Laxman, this camel is far more than an animal—it is a steadfast companion and the heart of his livelihood. Seeing it safe and recovering was a profound reminder that compassion, skill, and timely action cannot only save lives but also restore hope.kumar .jain.142035 *ta_nagar21 .saksena
