HOW TO INSTALL COMPOSER
1. Download and run https://getcomposer.org/Composer-Setup.exe
OR
on Linux or Mac, run the following commands:
a. curl -s http://getcomposer.org/installer | php
b. mv composer.phar /usr/local/bin/composer
2.To check the composer installation, Type the below code in command prompt
a. Installing Yii2.0 Basic Application Template via composer
To install basic application template, make sure your command prompt directory pointing to web accessible folder c:/wamp/www and type the following command in command prompt.
c:\wamp\www> composer create-project --prefer-dist --stability=dev yiisoft/yii2-app-basic yii2-basic
OR
c:\> composer create-project --prefer-dist --stability=dev yiisoft/yii2-app-basic c:/wamp/www/yii2-basic
b. Installing Yii2.0 Advanced Application Template via composer
To create advanced application template, make sure your command prompt directory pointing to web accessible folder c:/wamp/www and type the following command in command prompt.
c:\>composer create-project --prefer-dist --stability=dev yiisoft/yii2-app-advanced
c:/wamp/www/yii2advanced

HOW TO CRUD GENERATE IN YII
Go to
for backend
1: http://localhost/yii/backend/web/index.php?r=gii
2: Click on Model generator (This generator generates an ActiveRecord class for the specified database table.)
a: Table Name:
This is a name of DB table that the new ActiveRecord class is associated with eg: Blog the table name consist of my DB.
b: Model Class:
This is name of the ActiveRecord class to be generated. the class name should not contain the namespace part as it is specified in Namespace.
c: Namespace
This is the namespace of the ActiveRecord class to be generated eg: backend\models (only for backend)
d: Click on Priview button
e: Click on Generate button
3: Click on CRUD generator (This generator generates a controller and views that implement CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations for the specified data model.)
a: Model Class:
This is the ActiveRecord class Associated with the table the CRUD will be built upon. you should be provied model class name eg: backend\models\blog
b: Search Model Class:
This is the name of the search model class to be generated. you should be provied a namespace class eg: backend\models\blogSearch
c: Controller Class:
This is the name of the controller class to be generated. you should be provied a namespace class eg: backend\controllers \blogController
d: Click on Priview button
e: Click on Generate button

1: Installing Yii2.0 from an Archive File:
Download the archive file from yiiframework.com Unpack the downloaded file to a Web accessible folder.
After installation of application, you have to follow these steps to initialize the installed application. You only need to do these once for all.
