Hello collage lovers and culture seekers!
Today is World Collage Day and on this day I am happy to announce that I am creating a community in love and appreciation of this medium.
The aim of this platform is to discover common threads between cultures, practices, places and people. In this era when borders and wars divide us, collage can be a powerful tool to unite us.
Through our individual stories and collages, we will create cohesive wholeness to remind us that we are all connected.
Please join this new community
Anyone and everyone invited.

My contribution to for
To me collage is a way to navigate the world. Collage transcends cultures, language, borders, rules. It is my way to let go and hold on at the same time. Its my compass and my wings. My collages at times can communicate a lot, and sometimes nothing at all.
For this collage 10 languages from different parts of the world have been used. The thread is symbolic of how it all comes together and speaks in a unified voice.

Attended a great workshop by learning cyanotype printing. The whole process is incredibly enjoyable and the prussian blue at the end is stunning! Can't wait to experiment and incorporate new methods to make images.

My contribution to for where Mostafa Salameh will climb Mount Everest not for personal glory but to carry the dreams of Gaza children to the highest summit. It is a journey from the rubble of war to the roof of the world, from silence to voice, from survival to hope.
All and any proceeds from the artwork will go to this cause.

I find solace in the ordinary. I absolutely treasure everyday materials and repurpose them in my art. Almost all my collage materials are 'out of the ordinary'.
Having navigated anxiety, I have learnt to appreciate the beauty of ordinary days. Being fully present without stress or anxiety, without the need of masking your presence with distractions or pretences is priceless!

In celebration of the Bengali New year which traditionally signifies a fresh start, the agricultural harvest season and the closure of old financial accounts. But for me - new clothes, elaborate Bengali food and beautiful memories of loved ones remind me of my roots this day.
