The Journey of Mr. Sunil Kharia
We are proud to present a 62-year-old veteran, Mr. Sunil. He has been on a mission to provide quality education to students since 2001.
Initially, I was an engineer cm industrialist. While all was going well, my life took an unanticipated turn. Due to certain health issues, I was advised to not work for more than 4 hours a day. Consequently, I had to shut down my manufacturing/business in 2 years.
I always loved teaching, but quite unwittingly so. I took great interest in teaching my kids at home, through my methods they ended up performing quite well. While we were none the wiser, my wife noticed that I had a real flair for imparting knowledge, and convinced me to make a career out of it. That is when I started coaching classes for students studying from grades 7 to 10. It turned out to be a decision which changed my life for the better.
Honestly, the practice of teaching, till this very day, doesn’t feel like a profession to me. I teach because I love teaching. It is the same passion which continues to fuel me at this day and age. Many educational institutions solely focus on results, I criticize and abhor such ideology, for this promotes methods like rote learning. Rote learning may pay off in the short term, but paints a dark future for young minds who never grasp the essential concepts. It is for this very reason that a lot of 10th graders who scored high marks perform miserably in 11th grade. I want my children to truly understand and learn.
To counter today’s malpractices, I have developed my own unique style of teaching. It starts with relating course concepts to real life examples. For instance, to understand the theory of relativity, I talk to students about the common experience we all share: Imagine that two trains are at a halt beside each other. While we are seated in one, the other train begins to move, we feel as if it is our train which is moving. It confuses our senses, and only when we look at the platform do we realize that it is not ours. This establishes the basic concept underlying the theory of relativity. In a similar manner, my objective is to simplify theories. In my observation, such a method invokes a genuine interest in students towards the subject. Another technique that I adopt is interdisciplinarity. Since I teach Physics, Chemistry and Maths, it makes it easy for me to apply the same. If my students come across a concept during Physics class that we have already covered in Maths, I draw references for easy understanding. In addition to this, wit and humour are an inseparable part of my classes. It doesn't mean that I am not strict. My students are obliged to work hard, but I put serious efforts in making sure that the environment makes it easy for them to do so.
I am convinced that apart from teachers, parents play a key role in taking kids to the path of success. A good number of my students who have been blessed with bright futures, had parents who played an active role in their education. By an active role I do not mean guilt tripping kids along with incessant comparisons. Parents must be a source of constant emotional support and be keenly aware of any issues that their child might be facing.
A teacher must give ample attention to each student, for a student must never feel alone in their journey of education, patience is vital quality to provide such concern. I was not always a patient man. I, too, have developed this virtue over time. It has certainly helped me in establishing rapport with my students
I am proud of what I do. One of my recent big moment was when a student of mine was declared the city topper of Grade 10. Apart from being a teacher, I act as their mentor. It is deeply gratifying when students come to meet me after getting married and settled.
I receive indescribable satisfaction from the precious connections that I share with my students. They infuse my life with a sense of purpose. It is the very same sense of purpose which has strengthened my resolve to go on till health permits.

Greetings! As you all know, unlock 1 has come into existence. It might be possible that coaching classes might start max by 1st july. I had uploaded some videos of mine on Utube. But it has come to my notice that some students do not give cognisance to them. The reason might be that there is no one to one interaction. Hence I am trying to correct this lacuna. Trials are going on and it might be possible that I may give my lectures on GOOGLE MEET starting from 15th June. So it is requested that those who want to register and do not have gmail may kindly install the same . However till 8th June I will send my lectures & test papers through Utube and whatsapp. *please send your gmail id in the mean time so that I may form a group*. If by that time authorities allow for the class to be opened, all problems will be solved. Since I take up *very less* students in my class, social distancing can be very easily applied. This will safeguard your ward further. Regards- TRANSITION

The beauty of smaller batches and personalized tutoring is that you know every student by their name and you're overjoyed in every achievement of theirs because it is also an achievement of yours.
It brings us great joy to share that this year, a third of our Xth standard batch scored more than 95% in mathematics, and more than half the students in the batch achieved higher than 90% (aggregate).
One of our top scorers with an astonishing 99% in Mathematics is Shaurya Jain. To have scored 99/100 in 3 out of 6 subjects is no easy task. Hats off to your hard work Shaurya.
May you continue to strive for success in the future and may you achieve all that you set out for!

When you have been in the teaching profession for over 15 years, you come across hundreds of stories everyday. But some of these stories are so inspiring that you wish to share them with everyone to give them the confidence that hard work and sincerity are the only means to achieve the success that one is destined for.
I wish to share with you Ish*ta Jain's journey with Transition Coaching.
She has scored a mighty impressive score of 94.6% in class Xth and this was made possible through a winning combination of patient, personalized coaching and persistence.
In her words- "I would reach the class an hour before it was to start to sit with Kharia Sir and solve maths problems. He helped me with each and every doubt patiently and always motivated me to do better and work harder. He would even give other students my example which pushed me towards my aim of making him and my family proud."
