Manipur State Kala Akademi

As part of Seva Parv 2025, Manipur State Kala Akademi organised a 'Meet the Writer' programme, an enriching and interactive session of school students with eminent Manipur writer and Sahitya Akademi Awardee Prof. Lanchenba Meetei on 27.09.2025 at Library & Information Centre, Kakching. The literary event was participated by more than 200 people, mostly students from 4 high schools and 3 higher secondary schools located within Kakching District, Manipur.

Manipur State Kala is deeply saddened to learn about the sudden demise of eminent Manipuri Dance Guru Thiyam Suryamukhi Devi, a recipient of Padma Shri, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and Manipur State Kala Akademi Award. The Akademi extends its sincere condolence and pray that the departed soul rest in everlasting peace.

Shri M. Joy Singh, Spl. Commissioner (Art & Culture), Government of Manipur flagging off a team of 13 artistes from the office complex of Manipur State Kala Akademi on 12th June, 2025 for participation in the 'National Tribal/Folk Song & Dance Festival with National Level Exhibition' to be held at Jaganath Dham, Puri, Odisha from 16th to 20th June, 2025. The event, to be organised by Shree Srikhetra Soochana, Puri, will witness participation from multiple States of the country. The Flag Off event was also participated by Smt. Sunanda Thokchom, Secretary, Manipur State Kala Akademi and other officials of the Akademi.
