Advocate Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent public appearance in West Bengal, accusing the government of ignoring the continuing violence in Manipur.

In a post on X, Bhushan said that while the prime minister was making reels of eating jhal muri during his visit, the northeastern state continued to face unrest without adequate attention from the Centre. The remarks come amid ongoing political criticism from opposition leaders, including members of the Indian National Congress, over the handling of the Manipur crisis.
