Art of blending ..
Most of kids in pre primary are aware of alphabet sounds but stringing or blending these sounds together pose a challenge for them .
Here is a fun activity for the kids . Write CVC words (consonant- vowel- consonant) words on the Pop it and ask the child to press the letter and say the sound simultaneously . Ask them to increase the speed till they string the word together .

Flash cards prepared at home .

So these flash cards have been life saviour for me to teach my son R all the phonics sound as well as for blending . Later on, I have made consonant blends flash card as they help your younger one to remember the sound made by them .
We have now progressed to four letter words using consonant blends which we are using for blending and segmenting .
