New to the field of Earth Sciences? Don't worry; dive deep into the world of Geosciences as we bring 'Gateway to Geosciences' to clear all your doubts and an opportunity to learn more about the societies that work in the domain of Geosciences .

It is an international contest testing student's depth of knowledge about the field of geoscience. You can participate in the quiz as a team of 2 members. The first round is being hosted by UPES SEG Student Chapter. The team that secures first position will get a chance to participate in the International Finals to be held virtually in October, 2021.

Taking this Quote further, SEG IIT Roorkee and SEG University of Brawijaya Student Chapter conducted a joint session in which members from both the chapters actively participated. The joint session immensely helped us as we were able to discuss and share ideas also learn different things from each other. Overall it was a fun experience connecting across the borders, and at last, we would like to thank SEG UB SC for such a valuable session. We hope this session was as beneficial to you as it was for us, and we are excited to conduct such sessions in the future and work with each other.

This time it is for the students interested in the core sector, that is, Earth Sciences. The talk will be aimed to make the students aware about the internship opportunities in this sector and guide you to pursue them efficiently. The IIT Roorkee SEG Student Chapter organized an Internship talk on 20th June 2021. This event was aimed to make the students aware about different internship opportunities in the non-core field. We received a great response as many students from 1st and 2nd Year participated in the webinar. SEG student chapter, IIT Roorkee successfully conducted an online outreach programme at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Roorkee on 1st June, 2021.

The programme was aimed to enlighten the students of class 9th to 12th about Geoscience and various career opportunities within the field.

The presentation was delivered by Mr. Anubhav Roysha along with other members of SEG student chapter IIT Roorkee.
During the talk, an interactive quiz was also conducted in which Devansh Gupta gave an outstanding performance. We appreciate the efforts of all the students who participated.

At the end of the program, our president Mr. Samarth Pran interacted with the students and answered their queries regarding Geoscience and JEE-exam.

Overall the Programme was a success and we were able to spark the curiosity about Geosciences in the students .
