This week is dedicated to spending time with our family in Navsari. Lots of shopping, eating, drinking and reminiscing. While in Gujarat, we decided to take in some site seeing. We spent a day at the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world!!!! Really quite awe inspiring! It’s a chilly morning here in Agra, being winter, similar to our JHB winters. So we decided on an early morning to beat the crowds and get some quality time at the Taj. Looked promising when we got there, not too many people. Hopped on an electric golf cart to make our way to security checks as the tickets were booked by our guide online....

Enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then met our driver, Rafiqbhai, who took us on a short tour of Mumbai and of course some shopping! Took a drive through Bandra and had a look at some of the Bollywood stars homes. Must say, quite surprised at how small they were, but I’m sure it’s one of the many they have around the world!...

Got to the hotel REALY early, so we chilled in the lobby. Was a nice change after the rush and chaos of the last leg. Decided to spend the day in the hotel and catch up on some much needed sleep.

So we safely left sunny South Africa, on board Ethopian Airlines via OR Tambo International. Check-in took forever, even though we were 5th in queue and 5 counters were apparently available. For some reason we couldn't check-in online, looks like it had to do with our e-Visa's. Anyway, once we got the counter it was a bit easier. Customs was another story, ORT still doesn't have the electronic declarations, so you gotta fill out those forms manually!...
