8th june 2026 : -Dr.Abida War, Founder and Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Solace Employees Working Women Association (JKSEWWA), called on Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar.
She appreciated the Lieutenant Governor's decisive campaign against the drug menace, stating that it has safeguarded the future of J&K's youth. Dr. War also highlighted issues concerning the safety and welfare of working women, particularly AWWs, AWHs, ASHA Workers, AYAS and NHM employees.
She urged the establishment of a separate Women and Child Development Department in J&K for focused attention towards the welfare and empowerment of women and children.
