Senior JKAP leader and Provincial Secretary, Ab Rashid Bhat, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Mohd Sultan War, a respected resident of Batergam, Kupwara.
In his condolence message, Ab Rashid Bhat said that the deceased was a noble and respected figure in the community, and his passing has created a void that is difficult to fill. He extended his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, particularly with Zahoor Sultan (Sharbeen), Yahya Sultan (Correspondent News18 Kupwara), M***i Musa Kashmiri (Islamic Scholar).

Ab Rashid Bhat has expressed serious concern over the ongoing protest by PHE contractors in Handwara whose payments have reportedly been pending since 2019.
He urged Jal Shakti Minister Javed Rana to immediately intervene and ensure the swift release of the contractors’ long-pending dues, highlighting the hardships faced by them due to the delay.
Bhat said the genuine grievances of the contractors should be addressed without further delay so that justice is delivered

Ab Rashid Bhat Provincial Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, has appealed to the District Administration kupwara and Sub-District Administration Handwara to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Iftar and Sehri timings throughout the holy month of Ramzan.
Bhat stated that he is receiving numerous calls from people across various areas complaining about power outages at crucial hours, which is causing inconvenience to fasting residents.
He urged the authorities and the concerned departments to take immediate and effective measures so that the public can observe Ramzan peacefully and without hardship.
“Basic facilities during Ramzan are essential, and uninterrupted power supply at Iftar and Sehri is a genuine public need,” he said.
