7th EDITION FALCON FESTIVAL 2021to be held on 19th & 20th of November, 2021.

NB: For entry to the Venue one may have to get a ticket of Rs- 300 /- day
And for limited pre-sale combo for both days is Rs- 500

A very impressive 2D 1N trip from Hojai Dobongling to Dehangi hosted by team Dima Hasao Angling & Rafting Association with 2 Golden and 1 Red Fin Masheer catch and release. Lures used and algia long. Interested anglers team can contact DHARA, Dehangi for customized trip.

Dima Hasao Angling & Rafting Association in collaboration with Hamri Youth Organization (HYO) has successfully conducted the 1st Hamri & Diyungbra Constituency Khunang (GB) Conservative Angling Competition at Diyung River, Thaijuwari. The event was sponsored and powered by NCHAC, Dima Hasao. Hon’ble CEM, NCHAC Shri Debolal Gorlosa grace the occasion as Chief Guest along with EM Shri Projith Hojai, MACs Shri Monjit Naiding, Shri Nobojit Hojai, President BJP, Dima Hasao Shri Donpainon Thaosen and others present.

Winners of the angling competition are:
1st Prize Shri Ringlanon Longmailai (Khunang of Thaijuwari Bazar)
2nd Prize Shri Hamdon Hasnu (Khunang of P. Kungkhrowari)
3rd Prize Shri Pholonath Langthasa (Khunang of Phonglodisa)

JATINGA FESTIVAL 2021 #JATINGAFESTIVAL2021 The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council presents Jatinga Festival 2021 on 29th and 30th of September, 2021 at NH54, Jatinga, Haflong, Dima Hasao; The theme for this year is- conservation and preservation of migratory Birds of Jatinga. There will be exciting activities like- cycling, canopy walk, ethnic cuisines, performances by artistes, quiz Competition for students and cultural extravaganza. All the attendees are requested to wear masks and follow mandatory Covid-19 protocols. And only Vaccinated persons (either 1st dose or both) will be allowed to enter into the venue after showing covid vaccine certificate. Jatinga Festival

Katlay Machha - Neolissochilus Hexagonolepis commonly known as Chocolate or Copper Mahseer Is Declared As State Fish Of Sikkim.

One more feat completed to meet the fast developing demand of adventure aqua-tourism activities in our beautiful district of Dima Hasao. Members from Team Dima Hasao Angling & Rafting Association had recently gone through 8 Days Certified Training Course successfully on White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Tourism Oriented River Guiding and Camping Skill Development at Upper Siang District of Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh. The training was conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Water Sports Association (APWSA) in association with Donyi Hango Adventure Tours & Travels and Arunachal Pradesh Kayak & Canoe Association (APKCA) under the guidance of Shri Nino Dai and Instructor Shri Kishon Tekseng (Rafting), Shri Tagom Tekseng and Agur Litin (Kayaking).

Our heartfelt thanks goes out for CEM, NCHAC Shri Debolal Gorlosa for the initiatives and support in our endeavor since 2019. We would also like to thanks Smti. Nandita Gorlosa, MLA, 16-Haflong (ST) Constituency, Chairperson, NCHAC, Smti Ranu Langthasa and MAC, NCHAC & Chairman, HMB Shri Monjit Naiding for their assistance. Also like to thanks Shri Nirmendu Kemprai, Deputy Director, Dima Hasao Tourism for the official order for easy movement during our training session.

Our Redfin "Nahyung" also need to be protected and conserved at all cost. We can't let the situation go out of hand here in our place. It's a wake up call now...

Huge hump-backed like Andy Cowley ‘s 82lb fish with help from Basavaraju, are under threat from many sources. Listed as Critically Endangered by IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, our chats with Mullukuruma show these worshipped fish face competition from new, alien mahseer .
We need to restore as a priority in . The River is a biodiverse habitat full of endemic species, facing multiple threats from human use.
