Nabbed two persons involved in drugs racket.

NDH 06/JUN/2026:-Dima Hasao police launched an operation and apprehended two women traveling by train from Silchar at New Haflong Railway Station. During the search, police found 10 plastic soap cases containing 117.92 grams of he**in, which market value approximately 1 (one) crore rupees. Two mobile phones were also seized. Both are now in police custody.

Station Officer has received a commendation letter from the Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam.

For his dedicated service and devotion to duty, Himangshu Jyoti Gohain, Officer-in-Charge of Maibang Police Station, has received a commendation letter from the Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam.

Maibang Police Station Officer-in-Charge Himangshu Jyoti Gohain, has been awarded with a commendation letter by the (DGP) of for his dedicated service and devotion to duty. The letter recognizes the professional competence displayed during the apprehension of the accused and the recovery of an AK-56 rifle, a magazine with eight live rounds, and other incriminating material.

Expressing his gratitude for receiving this honor, Gohain said he was humbled and excited by this recognition from the state's top police officer. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Assam DGP for recognizing his efforts and dedication to public service.
