It hosts lifestyle products including local food, household items, jewelry, clothes and accessories made by independent designers and groups of women, farmers and producers in the North East. It is a multilingual bookstore with a focus on the North East and women writers. NEthing is also a shared creative work space. Sister Library is a community-owned,
community-run feminist library. It is an evolving and generative artwork that
engages in in-depth reflection on the visual and reading culture of our times.
The project emphasizes on the importance of the works of women in the creative
world.
In our bombay library, we display publications and printed materials powered by female excellence that
explores historical and contemporary creative works. Brought together by artist aqui Thami this collaborative
practice stems from her desire to heal in community. The travelling Sister Library, is a collection curation of
printed materials that responds to its locality, this display takes the form of an experimental reading and
reflecting room.
Sister library is in Assam and NEthing is glad to host them. Do drop by and check their collection of books and also indulge in the evening interactive sessions with the team!

We're screening Jafar Panahi's 2015 movie Taxi Tehran at NEthing tomorrow, on 6th November, 2021, at 4pm. The screening is limited for 20 viewers. Please book your slots and do not forget your mask or facial covers. Maintaining social distance is a must.
