DASTAAN
A dastaan is never just a story. It unfurls in layers – memory, imagination, and wonder looping through each retelling. Every narration shifts something: the tone, the truth, the tenderness. A dastaan refuses a single centre; it gathers voices, carries time, and grows through the act of being told. As the year settles into its final pages, we find ourselves surrounded by new dastaans across art, architecture, and design – stories shaped not by one author, but by many worlds meeting.
Stories change when we return to them. Left untouched, they harden into myth; retold, they breathe again. In these inherited fragments, dastaans become quiet maps of who we are and what we long to imagine next. Perhaps the tale isn’t the point at all—its telling is what allows us to build, rebuild, and begin again.
This week lingers within these layered narratives – listening, folding, and unfolding the stories we carry.
