In today's video, we're building a custom PVC linear bearing mount cover for our RC boat. Its main purpose is to prevent water from leaking into the hull through the shaft hole around the universal joint.
This wasn't an easy build. We failed multiple times while trying to make the cover with the correct shape and fit, but we didn't give up. After several attempts, we finally designed a strong PVC cover with a perfect fit and an amazing locking mechanism that keeps it secure while making maintenance easy.

In this part of our RC Boat project, we're building the propeller shaft mount using a PVC sheet. We cut the PVC sheet into shape, installed a linear bearing, and fitted the propeller shaft. In the next part, we'll build a protective cover to complete and secure the entire assembly.

In this video, I made a DIY window AC using a 12V 6A Peltier module. For the AC body, I used wooden board and PVC pipe sheet material. I also used a custom 3D printed water pump made with the help of RapidDirect manufacturing service.

To cool down the heat generated by the Peltier module, I used an old car heat exchanger coil with a custom water cooling setup. Initially, I planned to make a proper evaporator coil, but the attempt failed, so I modified the setup and used a CPU fan heat sink instead.

Overall, the AC worked surprisingly well for a DIY project. After running continuously for around 2 hours, the temperature dropped to around 14°C.

One thing to note is that Peltier modules are not very cooling efficient. Most of the electrical power converts into heat, and only a small amount converts into cooling, which makes them less efficient compared to real compressor-based AC systems. But for DIY experiments and learning projects, they are still very interesting to build.

Building a V8 Engine Model | DIY Assembly
