IT industry veteran and entrepreneur Dr. S.B. (Ravi) Pandit, Co-founder and Chairman of KPIT Technologies, passed away in Pune on the morning of May 8, 2026.

Confirming the news, KPIT Technologies said in an official statement that it was “deeply saddened” by the passing of its Founder and Chairman of the Board.

Pandit played a key role in shaping India’s technology, mobility, clean-energy, and civic ecosystem through KPIT Technologies, K&P Group, and several public institutions.

Dataquest pays tribute to his contribution to Indian industry, sustainable development, and institution building.
