The Surabhi Art Festival 2025 wrapped up after two vibrant days dedicated to painting, reinforcing the spirit of creativity and community among artists. The event, organized by the Surabhi Art Society in collaboration with Guru Jambheshwar University, welcomed talented painters from 15 states, each displaying their remarkable artistry. The resulting collection of artworks was proudly showcased on the university campus for public enjoyment.

The festival left a lasting impression on attendees, with artists’ unique styles resonating deeply. The grand closing ceremony took place at the university’s auditorium, where 100 distinguished painters were honored with prestigious accolades such as the Kala Ratna, Kala Gaurav, and Kala Guru awards. The chief guest, Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa, engaged with the artists and appreciated their contributions. The ceremony was graced by notable figures, including Arjuna Awardee Pooja Dhanda, Haryana Staff Selection Commission member Sadhu Ram Jakhar, former DN College principal Subhash Sharma, former Nehru Yuva Kendra district coordinator Narendra Yadav, and historian Dr. Mahendra Vivek, alongside a large audience of students and esteemed painters like Rajesh Jangra, Geeta Jangra, Vineet Kumar, and Bani Singh Jangra.
In the painting competition, participants aged 17 to 24 and those aged 25 and above showcased their skills, with awards recognizing their talent. The first prize winners in both categories took home Rs. 11,000, while the second place earned Rs. 7,100 and third place received Rs. 5,100, along with two consolation prizes of Rs. 3,100 each. The festival also featured esteemed participants such as Padma Shri Prof. Biman Bihari Das from the Government College of Art, Kolkata, and artists hailing from various states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, among others. Over 300 painters participated, adding to the enriching atmosphere of this artistic celebration.

The Surabhi Art Festival, a vibrant two-day event organized by the Surabhi Art Society in collaboration with Guru Jambheshwar University, commenced with great enthusiasm. The inaugural ceremony took place in the university auditorium, featuring Padma Shri Professor Biman Bihari Das, the former principal of the Government College of Art in Kolkata, as the chief guest. Notable attendees included painter Vijay Biswal from Maharashtra, social worker Manoj Bansal, who owns Lazeez Hotel, Akhil Popli, the son of Mayor Praveen Popli, as well as Sumitra Ahlawat from Delhi, Nirapad Pandey from Kolkata, and Roopchand from Gurugram. The organizers behind this artistic celebration, such as esteemed painters Rajesh Jangra, Geeta Jangra, Vineet Kumar, Bani Singh Jangra, and Narendra Yadav, were present alongside hundreds of eager students from the Surabhi Art Center.
Throughout the festival, talented painters engaged in creating captivating canvases right before the audience’s eyes, leaving spectators and students in awe of the incredible artwork emerging from their brushes. The mesmerizing blend of colors captured the attention of everyone present. These remarkable pieces will be showcased in the auditorium of Guru Jambheshwar University on December 14th. Rajesh Jangra also highlighted the success of a painting competition held for participants aged 17 to 24 years and those 25 years and older, with students and artists alike displaying their creative talents on canvas. He announced that during the closing ceremony on December 14th, 100 distinguished senior painters from Haryana and beyond will be honored with prestigious awards, including the Kala Ratna, Kala Gaurav, and Kala Guru accolades.
