The whole scenario needs to be a looked at a more wider level. The cost of treatment in these state-of-the-art tertiary care centres vis-a-vis in other emerging countries or developed countries needs to be studied to make a more qualified statement on their approach to patients in India.

Why is India attracting patients from both developed and emerging nations?

Isn't our private healthcare amongst the best in the world?

But for these institutions, imagine the patient load on the very few institutions like AIIMS, PGI etc that we have for tertiary care.

Are we coherent and consistent in our approach to private healthcare?

Or we are becoming sensational and adhoc in our approach to the private healthcare sector?

Is there no mortality in Harvard or Sloan?

Our law says you are not guilty until proven.

In medico legal cases, the guilty is usually proven by competent authorities. In recent times, however, we see each Tom, Dick and Harry becoming a judge and announcing verdicts.

More sensational and less facts.

Very competent and intelligent doctors with plethora of experience in these institutions are feeling sad and dejected with such attitude, reactions and responses.

Patient doctor relationship in India will die completely unless we become more understanding and empathetic towards the doctors in private healthcare institutions.

Time for the private healthcare industry to come together and address their challenges. Influence our society to understand the contribution of the organisations in this sector. Make facts public.

Lastly, work on healing our society from the negative influences of the past.
