The app was appreciated by Rotatory blood bank in Gurgaon and the app will be displayed prominently during their future blood donation camps to increase awareness and registration of voluntary donors.

"Pledge Platelets" is a non-profit initiative directed towards community service with the only aim of helping patients in need of platelets. At present we are appealing voluntary donors from Delhi and Gurugram to register on our website or on our app.

Pledge Platelets is a platform that connects voluntary platelet donors to healthcare facilities and blood banks in need.

The backbone of the Pledge Platelets organisation is a mobile app and a website that lets donors register with their details, and blood banks to filter and view these donors by location. The patients in need of platelets can send can contact and request with suitable donors directly through the app.

Pledge Platelets’ mission is to make it easier for blood banks/ patients in need for platelets, to find and contact voluntary donors in time, and ultimately, to save lives. We observe a Dengue outbreak almost every year, and platelet counts dwindle in patients. Apart from Dengue, many patients on chemotherapy for cancer treatments also need platelets transfusion from time to time. These patients require platelets on an urgent basis, and we are looking to solve that problem.
