As many as 25 people were killed in a massive fire at a nightclub in North Goa following a cylinder blast late Saturday night, police said.
The fire tore through the popular nightclub in North Goa's Arpora village last night. Most of the victims killed in the blaze were mainly staff members working at the venue.

Social activist Rama Kankonkar was brutally attacked in broad daylight by five miscreants. The assailants allegedly punched and thrashed him, while also applying cow dung on his face before throwing him onto the road. According to Kankonkar, the attackers were armed with a knife and a gun, and threatened him saying, “Do you wish to be the protector of Goa? Let us show you.” He further alleged that one of the accused had attacked him earlier as well.
