Happy Teachers’ Day

On this special day, I extend my heartfelt wishes and deepest gratitude to all the wonderful teachers who dedicate their lives to shaping minds, nurturing dreams, and building a better future.

Teachers do much more than impart knowledge they inspire us, guide us through challenges, and instil values that remain with us throughout our lives. Their patience, sacrifices, and dedication leave an everlasting impact on every generation.

Today, as we mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, philosopher, educationist, and former President of India, let us honour and celebrate all teachers and educators whose wisdom continues to illuminate the path of generations.

30/08/2026 | Day 7 | Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan | 06-Rinchengpong Constituency

The 7th Day of the Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan continued in Rinchengpong Constituency under Soreng District, with the entire Abhiyan being carried forward under the able guidance, direction, and visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) Sir.

The meeting was held at the Community Hall, Rinchengpong, and provided a meaningful platform for open interaction with former Panchayat representatives. Their valuable feedback, grievances, experiences, and suggestions were heard with due importance.

Such constructive interactions are essential to understand the challenges at the grassroots level and to identify what needs to be changed, improved, and strengthened for a more effective and responsive Panchayati Raj system.

The Paramarsha Abhiyan continues to serve as an important bridge between the leadership and grassroots representatives, ensuring that their voices, experiences, and suggestions contribute towards strengthening Panchayat institutions and grassroots governance.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon'ble Area MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha Sir for his warm cooperation, for gracing the programme, and for sharing his thoughtful ideas and words of encouragement. I also extend my sincere appreciation to every individual who contributed to making the Paramarsha Abhiyan a success.

Together, let us strengthen the grassroots and build a more responsive and empowered Panchayati Raj system.

I feel truly blessed to have visited Ngagyur Rinchen Chholing Monastery, located at Meghi Dara, Rinchenpong, early this morning.

It was a deeply peaceful and spiritually enriching experience to seek the blessings, guidance, and spiritual wisdom of H.H. Tulku Sangay Yonten Gyatsho Rinpoche.

I am grateful for this sacred opportunity and pray that His Holiness’s blessings continue to guide us towards peace, compassion, wisdom, and harmony.

Day 6 | Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan

The 6th Day of the Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan for 06-Daramdin Constituency under Soreng District was successfully held at Sherpa Hall, Okhrey, organised under the guidance and visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) Sir.

The Paramarsha Abhiyan is a meaningful initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots democracy by providing a platform to hear the concerns, suggestions, and feedback of both former and sitting Zilla and Panchayat Representatives. Such interactions are vital in understanding the challenges at the grassroots level and working collectively towards the welfare and development of our people.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Hon’ble Speaker and Area MLA, Shri M. N. Sherpa Sir, for gracing this important programme with his presence, and for his warm cooperation and gracious, homely hospitality.

I also extend my sincere appreciation to all the former and sitting Zilla and Panchayat Representatives for their valuable participation, constructive suggestions, and continued commitment towards serving the people.

Together, through dialogue, consultation, and collective efforts, we can continue to strengthen our grassroots institutions and build a stronger and more prosperous Sikkim.

28/08/2026: Paramarsha Abhiyan Continues in Soreng District | Soreng-Chakung Constituency

The Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan continued in Soreng District, beginning with the Soreng-Chakung Constituency, organised by the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party Panchayat Cell Prakostha under the direction and guidance of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) Sir.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Hon’ble Chief Minister for his unwavering commitment, dedication, and vision towards strengthening the Panchayati Raj system and empowering our grassroots representatives. His guidance and leadership have made this Paramarsha Abhiyan a meaningful and historic initiative of the Panchayat Cell Prakostha.

I feel truly honoured and privileged to be a part of and host such a meaningful platform, where we had the opportunity to interact with, listen to, and engage with our respected former and sitting Zilla and Panchayat Representatives.

The interaction focused on understanding the challenges faced at the grassroots level, discussing developmental priorities, receiving valuable suggestions and feedback, and exploring practical solutions for the effective functioning of Panchayats. The active participation and insightful contributions of our representatives made the deliberations highly productive and meaningful.

Such initiatives provide a strong platform for dialogue, strengthen coordination between the party and grassroots representatives, and reaffirm our collective commitment towards people-centric governance, inclusive development, and a stronger Panchayati Raj system in Sikkim.

My sincere gratitude to Hon’ble MLA Shri Aditya Golay Sir for your gracious presence and valuable support. I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the former and sitting Zilla and Panchayat Representatives, party functionaries, Panchayat Cell Prakostha representatives, and everyone whose valuable contribution made this programme a grand success.

हाम्रो छिमेकी राष्ट्र नेपालका विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा अविरल तथा भारी वर्षाका कारण आएको बाढी, पहिरो तथा प्राकृतिक विपत्तिबाट भएको ठूलो जनधनको क्षतिको दुःखद् समाचारले हामीलाई अत्यन्त मर्माहत साथै निस्तब्ध बनाएको छ।

विशेषगरी नेपालको भोटेकोसी नदी यानी तिब्बत–नेपाल सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रमा आज आएको विनाशकारी बाढीका कारण ज्यान गुमाउनुहुने सम्पूर्ण प्रियजनप्रति सिक्किमेली जनताको तर्फबाट हार्दिक श्रद्धाञ्जली अर्पण गर्दछु।

यस अपूरणीय क्षतिको पीडामा रहेका शोकसन्तप्त परिवारजनप्रति गहिरो समवेदना तथा बाढीबाट प्रभावित, विस्थापित एवं आफ्नो घर, सम्पत्ति र जीविकोपार्जन गुमाउनुभएका सम्पूर्ण दाजुभाइ तथा दिदीबहिनीहरूप्रति हार्दिक सहानुभूति व्यक्त गर्दछु।

यस कठिन अनि दुःखद् घडीमा प्रभावित जनताको उद्धार, राहत तथा पुनर्स्थापनाका लागि नेपाल सरकार, सुरक्षा निकाय, उद्धार तथा राहतकर्मीहरू एवं स्थानीय समुदायले गरिरहनुभएको निरन्तर, अथक अनि साहसिक प्रयासप्रति हार्दिक सम्मान व्यक्त गर्दछु। विपत्तिमा परेका सबैको शीघ्र उद्धार, सुरक्षित पुनर्स्थापना र जनजीवनको यथाशीघ्र सामान्यीकरणको निम्ति कामना सहित प्रार्थना गर्दछौं।

नेपाल हाम्रो छिमेकी राष्ट्र मात्र नभई सांस्कृतिक तथा भावनात्मक सम्बन्धले गहिरोसँग जोडिएको आत्मीय राष्ट्र हो। त्यसैले नेपालमा कुनै पनि विपत्ति आइपर्दा त्यसको पीडा र दुःख हामी यस भेकका जनताले पनि उत्तिकै महसुस गर्दछौँ।

यस प्राकृतिक विपत्तिको सामना गर्ने शक्ति, साहस र धैर्यता सबै प्रभावित परिवारमा प्राप्त होस् भनि ईश्वर समक्ष प्रार्थना गर्दछौं। यस दु:खद अनि विकट घडीमा हामी सबै उहाँहरुको साथमा छौँ साथै सम्पूर्ण उपचाराधीन व्यक्तिहरुको शीघ्र स्वास्थ्यलाभको कामना पनि गर्दछौं|

Day 5 | Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan |Yangthang Constituency|Gyalshing District

Today marked the 5th and final day of the Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan for Gyalshing District, organised by the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party Panchayat Cell Prakostha, held at the Zilla Assembly Hall, Gyalshing.

The concluding programme for 02-Yangthang Constituency was graced by the Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA, Shri Bhim Hang S***a Sir, along with distinguished dignitaries, former and sitting Panchayat representatives, and members of the SKM Party Panchayat Cell.

The primary objective of this Paramarsha Abhiyan has been to honour and acknowledge the valuable contributions of former Zilla and Panchayat representatives, while strengthening and supporting the work of the sitting Panchayats. More importantly, the Abhiyan provided a meaningful platform to listen to the voices, experiences, suggestions and concerns of our grassroots representatives and to work collectively towards addressing issues from the grassroots level.

With the successful conclusion of the 5-day Abhiyan, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLAs, Zilla and Panchayat representatives, former Panchayat representatives, party leadership, SKM Party Panchayat Cell Prakostha, dignitaries, officials, volunteers and everyone who contributed their time, support and cooperation in making this entire Paramarsha Abhiyan across Gyalshing District a grand success.

This journey has reaffirmed that strong governance begins at the grassroots, and that the experiences and voices of our Panchayat representatives are invaluable in building a stronger, more responsive and people-centric Sikkim.

Together, let us continue to listen, strengthen and serve from the grassroots.

24/08/2026: Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan

Today marked the 4th Day of the Constituency-Level Paramarsha Abhiyan organised by the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party Panchayat Cell Prakostha for 01-Yuksom Tashiding Constituency, Gyalshing District, held at the Village Administration Centre, Gerethang.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to our Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA of 01-Yuksom Tashiding Constituency, Shri Tshering T. Bhutia Sir, for gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest and sparing his valuable time for this meaningful interaction.

I was truly honoured to host this gathering, which provided an important platform to listen to the concerns, challenges, suggestions and feedback from the grassroots. The active participation of both sitting and former Panchayat representatives made the consultation even more constructive and meaningful.

Such consultations are vital in strengthening grassroots democracy and fostering a stronger connection between the people, Panchayat representatives and the organisation. By listening, understanding and working together, we can identify challenges, seek practical solutions and bring meaningful change to our people and our State.

My sincere appreciation to all the Panchayat representatives, party workers and community members for their valuable participation and constructive inputs.

Together, let us continue to work with unity, commitment and sincerity towards a stronger, inclusive and progressive Sikkim.

Successfully concluded the second day of the Constituency-Level Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party Panchayat Cell Paramarsha Abhiyan for 04-Gyalshing Bermiok Constituency, Gyalshing District, at Chingthang Community Hall.

The programme provided a valuable platform for dialogue, consultation, and enhanced coordination at the grassroots level. We extend our sincere gratitude to all Panchayat representatives, party workers, and well-wishers for their active participation and constructive contributions.
