Today, I had the privilege of attending the Generali Central Life Nirmaan Program, organized by Generali Central Life Insurance in partnership with Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial (STNM) Hospital, Government of Sikkim, at the Auditorium Hall, STNM Hospital, Sochakgang, Gangtok.

This commendable initiative reflects a strong commitment towards strengthening healthcare services and emergency response infrastructure in Sikkim. As part of the program, Generali Central Life Insurance generously donated two ambulances to STNM Hospital, which will significantly enhance emergency medical services and ensure timely assistance to those in need.

The program was graced by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Sikkim, Shri G.T. Dhungel, as the Chief Guest. Also present were Mayor of Gangtok Municipal Corporation Ms. Tshering Palden Bhutia, officials from Generali Central Life Insurance, the Health Department, STNM Hospital, and other distinguished guests.

I extend my sincere appreciation to Generali Central Life Insurance for this meaningful contribution towards public welfare and healthcare development. Such collaborative efforts play a vital role in building a healthier, safer, and more resilient Sikkim for all.

House Inauguration Ceremony Sikkim Garib Awaas Yojana( SGAY).

Today, I had the privilege of attending the inauguration of a newly constructed house under the Sikkim Garib Awaas Yojana at Thamidara Ward, Luing Perbing GPU, under 28 Upper Burtuk Constituency.

On this special occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Puskar Pandey on receiving their new home. A house is not just a structure of bricks and walls; it is a place where families build dreams, create memories, and secure a better future.

The program was graced by the presence of BDO Ranka Mr. Chuing Dorjee Bhutia, Ward Panchayat Mr. Yam Bahadur Gurung, OSD to HMLA Burtuk Mr. Rohit Neopaney, along with other Family members and Relatives.

I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the Government of Sikkim for implementing welfare schemes that continue to improve the lives of the people. May this new home bring happiness, prosperity, and good health to the Pandey family for many years to come.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt prayers, today I paid a visit to the residence of Late Rohit Neopaney at Makha, Singtam, to offer my heartfelt condolences and prayers for the departed soul. I interacted with the bereaved family and extended my sincere support and strength to them during this difficult period of grief and bereavement.

Late Rohit Neopaney, one of the renowned founding members of the SKM Party, will always be remembered for his unwavering support, dedication, and commitment towards the Party and the welfare of the people. His contributions and service to society will continue to inspire many generations to come.

May his departed soul rest in eternal peace, and may the bereaved family find strength and courage during this difficult time.

Today morning, I had the privilege to attend the Annual College Fest “Integrumlex Fiesta 2026” at Sikkim Government Law College, Burtuk Gangtok District.

One of the main highlights of the program was the “Pitch and Ditch” competition, where the students of the Law College passionately shared their views and concerns on important social issues such as waste management, isolation of elderly people, child labour, and the rights of domestic helpers and housemaids. The discussions and perspectives presented by the students were truly genuine, thoughtful, and reflected the rising concerns within our society.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire college authority for organising such a meaningful and inspiring annual fiesta. This fest was not only about entertainment, but also about encouraging co-curricular activities, critical thinking, and social awareness beyond the classroom syllabus.

Extending my warm regards and best wishes to all the respected teachers and dear students of Sikkim Government Law College for their dedication, enthusiasm, and remarkable efforts in making the event a grand success. Wishing everyone continued success and a bright future ahead.

It is a matter of immense pride, honour, and happiness for the people of Sikkim that Hon’ble Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai Ji is set to assume office as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.

As the first lady Judge from Sikkim to attain this distinguished position, her elevation marks a historic milestone and stands as a shining testament to her unwavering dedication, integrity, wisdom, and distinguished service to the judiciary. Her remarkable achievement is an inspiration to the people of Sikkim and to all concerned across the nation.

On behalf of the Government and the people of Sikkim, I extend our heartiest congratulations and warmest greetings to Hon’ble Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai Ji on this well-deserved elevation.
