It is truly disappointing to see the kind of service gap being experienced at Deoghar Airport.

Deoghar Airport became operational in 2023, and naturally, passengers expected modern, basic facilities to be in place. However, even till date, a very basic service bus transfer from the boarding gate to the aircraft is not being provided by IndiGo.

What makes this worse is that fares from Deoghar are relatively higher compared to many other airports. Despite paying more, passengers are deprived of facilities that are routinely provided elsewhere even at airports with lower fares.

Now, with summer setting in and temperatures rising, the situation becomes even more difficult. Senior citizens, children, and even regular passengers are forced to walk long distances on the tarmac under the scorching sun. By the time they reach the aircraft, they are already exhausted. A journey that should begin with comfort instead starts with fatigue and discomfort.

This is not just about convenience it is about basic passenger welfare and dignity. Why should passengers at Deoghar be treated differently?

IndiGo needs to address this issue urgently and ensure that essential facilities like shuttle bus transfers are provided here as well.

A good journey should start with ease, not exhaustion.

Requesting authorities to kindly look into this matter at the earliest.
