“Earlier, I never thought my crochet work could become a business. Today, Dhaaage is not just helping me earn — it is helping me teach and support other women too.”
— Shobha, Founder, Dhaaage
From learning crochet on her own to building a handmade brand, Shobha’s journey is a story of courage, creativity and enterprise.
Founder of Dhaaage, Shobha transformed her skill in crochet, hand embroidery and macramé into a growing micro-enterprise. With support from ACCESS Development Services’ Advancing Micro Enterprises programme, she strengthened her understanding of costing, branding, product finishing, digital presence and market linkages.
Today, Shobha not only creates handmade products but also trains and encourages other women to explore livelihood opportunities through craft.
Her story reflects how the right support ecosystem can help micro-entrepreneurs build confidence, improve business practices and grow sustainably.
