When we look at our childhood we spend almost bulk of time atleast a decade in at school. Those are the best times and some of those memories and friends, we carry with us for a lifetime. They are also the quick growing years for kids. So what if every year, every class room evolves as the kids grow. What if every year that memory of the classroom is much more than a box. What if the corridors are replaced with tunnels. All the spaces are a hide n seek. What if the school is everything but a typical classroom. For those curious minds, what if the architecture creates that curiosity.
Blending in Adobe, Ferrocement and other traditional techniques, the project is designed as a memory garden.

Grass it is…
Can Jute replace steel mesh in Ferrocement concrete? If not fully so, can it reduce the steel mesh or add an additional layer of support to the concrete. One of the drawbacks of ferroconrete construction is that, it is prone sever water proofing issues if not done right. Over the years we have been exploring this technique and now currently experimenting with this in layers to get the strength and the shape and make it fully waterproof…
While this goes on, sometimes the beauty of the process is to behold and we cannot help but wonder if there is a way to freeze the structure the way it is and enjoy the diffused light shimmering through the natural fabric.
And yeah What is the grass doing there?

In a traditional family home, a modern glass lift quietly finds its place. What began as a contrast now becomes continuity, linking the contemporary and the vernacular.
In each panel, the frosted glass softens the light, while wicker and wood weave warmth into its form. Giving rise to a dynamic dialogue between light, craft, and memory.
As it rises, the lift feels less like a structure and more like a story. A story that always belonged.
