Flying around Ama Dablam 📸 .groves • Ama Dablam is known to be a very difficult and technical mountain to climb. I was lucky enough to fly a complete lap around this mighty peak in a helicopter and can confirm it looks bloody intense. What do you think about those ridges?? We are heading up for our first rotation in couple of days and then we hope to summit during the first days of November!

Surreal Munnar by 📸 • Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travellers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colourful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

Saraswati kund 📸by

Saraswati kund is located at a very beautiful location near Rudranath temple (Fourth of the Panchkedars). It is a high altitude lake at a height of approx 3000 m from sea level. One side the beautiful view of Almighty Himalaya exists and the other side beautiful bugyals (meadows).

Borith Lake 📷

A small, placid, saline lake, is a place full of surprises.
Sitting between two mighty glaciers, Gulkhin and Passu, Borith is an important migratory bird site.

Did you know around 25 years ago, WWF-Pakistan lobbied to ensure a permanent hunting ban in the area? The outcome is an influx of different species over the years.
Awareness-raising and educational pursuits have proven to be quite successful in reducing local hunting as communities have also started establishing private bird refuges.

Today this lake is a perfect example of what a healthy ecosystem should look like.

Different migratory birds fly thousands of kilometers to find the most ideal ecological conditions and habitats for feeding, breeding, and raising their young. When the conditions become unfavorable, migratory birds fly to regions better suited.

Painting or real? The beautiful Sonmarg!😍 📷 • Sonmarg is located in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir and it means a “meadow of gold”.

Monday motivation straight from Tapovan 🤩 📷 • The word ‘Tapovan’ means a sacred and serene place, where the sages meditate for spiritual bliss. According to Hindu mythology, King Bhagiratha (Lord Rama’s ancestor) of the Ikshvaku dynasty, meditated here to Shiva for Ganga’s descent to the earth. From time unknown, Hindu sadhus or spiritualists come here to pay tribute to Lord Shiva and River Ganges. Tapovan, lush green in summer, blooming with wild flowers, turns golden in post-monsoon season.
