International Conflict studies - ICS

The University of Ladakh (UoL) is still accepting applications for *Batch 2025-27 of the full-time, self-financed MA in International Conflict Studies (MAICS) program* that it offers in association with the United Service Institution of India (USI), New Delhi. Catering to a limited batch, the unique program allows students to be partly trained by UoL-approved subject-matter experts (SMEs) of the USI, including distinguished veterans of the Indian Armed Forces. It also serves internships, project-based learning, and other participative opportunities at the USI.

Sqn Ldr Rana TS Chhina, MBE (Retd), Director, USI-CMHCS, attended the annual remembrance service at the Chattri Memorial in Brighton — a site of profound significance where Indian soldiers who fought and died in WWI are honoured.

Organised by the Royal British Legion, this annual commemoration brings together people of diverse faiths from across the UK to pay tribute to the Indian Army’s valour and sacrifices.

Their legacy remains an enduring chapter in the shared military history of India and the Commonwealth.
