Awareness Program on POCSO Act at Government Girls' Secondary School..π
An awareness session was conducted at Government Girls' Secondary School, Quresh Nagar, Central Delhi by DCPU Central Delhi in collaboration with SPID.π»
The session was attended by 54 students (Classes 10thβ12th), along with one teacher and DCPU staff members. The focus was on the POCSO Act, 2012, aimed at creating awareness about child protection, safety, and legal rights.π

Bringing healthcare closer to the community π©Ί
On 9 April 2026, a Free Health Camp was successfully organized in Salamba by the SPID CRY team in collaboration with Sanskaram Hospital & Trauma Centre. The initiative aimed to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the local community.π»
During the camp, beneficiaries received general health check-ups, medical consultations, and guidance on various health conditions. The medical team ensured that each individual was given proper attention and appropriate advice based on their health needs.π»
More than 80 beneficiaries availed the services, leading to increased awareness about health and encouraging timely medical care.π
The camp was conducted smoothly with strong community participation, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in improving public health and strengthening community engagement.π
SPID remains committed to ensuring better healthcare access and awareness in underserved communities.π

Promoting health, awareness, and positive habits πΏ
World Health Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at SPID iMpower Club, with active participation from both students and their parents.π
On this occasion, students presented a powerful nukkad natak (street play) highlighting the harmful effects of junk food and the importance of a healthy diet. Their performance effectively conveyed the message of adopting better eating habits.π»
A drawing competition was also organized, where children creatively expressed ideas around healthy food and a fit lifestyle through their artwork.π»
The objective of the program was to raise awareness among children and parents about health and inspire them to adopt healthy eating habits and lifestyles.π

Strengthening systems to protect children π
Key legal frameworks such as the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, and the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021, were discussed, along with important observations of the Supreme Court of India on preventing exploitation and addressing its linkages with child trafficking.π
The session provided an in-depth overview of human trafficking and organized interstate trafficking rackets, with reference to the case Pinki vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Another.π»
A total of 53 police officers and 8 SPID staff members actively participated in the session, which aimed to enhance the capacity of law enforcement officials to identify illegal practices and strengthen child protection mechanisms.π
SPID remains committed to building institutional capacity on critical child protection issues.π
