*Income Tax Updates*

🔸 CBDT amends Income-tax Rules, 1962 to ease authentication of electronic records submitted in faceless assessment proceedings. Requirement of using *DSC removed for e-filing* of submissions in faceless assessment proceedings.

🔸 CBDT allows taxpayers an opportunity to file *application for settlement* to all those assesses who were eligible to file application on 31st January 2021, with a further condition that assessment proceedings are pending on the date of filing such application. The last date for filing application is 30th September 2021.
