Sweet Simple Surprises

We created a beautiful cake with handcrafted fondant figures of Bluey and his family, everything was perfect when it left our place.

The venue was about 1 hour 15 minutes away and the cake was carefully placed in a cab with clear instructions to keep the AC on and drive steadily.

But sometimes despite all precautions, things don’t go as planned.

I received a call from the client with pictures, the cake had collapsed in transit. My heart sank. No parent wants that for their child’s special day. There was no way I could let that moment be ruined.

I packed my tools, called a dear friend and rushed to the venue. After a 1.5-hour drive, we got straight to work and within 20 minutes we managed to bring the cake back to life.

Not every story is about perfection. Some are about showing up, fixing what you can and making sure the celebration goes on.
