"मुग़ल साम्राज्य के उदय" का तात्पर्य भारत में 16वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में एक शक्तिशाली मुस्लिम साम्राज्य की स्थापना से है। इसकी शुरुआत बाबर द्वारा 1526 ई. में दिल्ली के सुल्तान इब्राहिम लोदी को हराकर की गई थी। यह साम्राज्य मध्य एशिया से आए तुर्क-मंगोल वंशजों द्वारा स्थापित किया गया था। बाबर के बाद उसके वंशजों ने भारत में शासन को सुदृढ़ किया और अकबर जैसे सम्राटों ने इसे एक संगठित, समृद्ध और स्थायी साम्राज्य का रूप दिया। इस उदय के पीछे सैन्य शक्ति, प्रभावशाली नेतृत्व, प्रशासनिक दक्षता और धार्मिक सहिष्णुता जैसे अनेक कारण थे ।
