There’s something powerful about being in a room full of people who care and want to take action 🌱✨

On 27th March, Restless Development brought together 10 Youth leaders from 5 Youth Fund Grantees working in Karnataka. Our team was in Bengaluru and brought together youth leaders to reflect on their journey of the Youth Fund — what worked, what hasn’t, and what it takes to drive change in their communities 🤝

Through a structured listening exercise, they explored leadership growth, project learnings, community trust, partnerships, and sustainability beyond funding 📊

From mobilising communities to navigating systems, their insights are shaping how youth-led climate action can go further and deeper and giving voice to the challenges that are the need of the hour 🌍🔥 The team also ended the workshop by writing “Letters to the Future,” for the next phase of grantees grounded in action, honesty, and hope 💌

We at India Hub celebrated International Women’s Day with a focus on local action and reflection. 🇮🇳

Through the My Education My Right program in Gaudagaon, we honored women leaders for their work. Youth-led documentaries helped tell their stories and showed why this recognition is so important. 🎥

In Dakshinpuri, our Gully Youth Lab program brought young people and women together. They used theatre and poetry to talk openly about gender, digital safety, and their goals for the future. 🎭

On 21 February, we hosted the QUTWE PFA Certification and Learning Convening in Delhi, convening practitioners, partners, and stakeholders working at the intersections of mental health, youth wellbeing, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

The convening marked the certification of our Youth Unicorns in Psychosocial First Aid (PFA), recognising their commitment to strengthening community-based support systems for q***r young people. Their leadership reflects the critical role of youth-led approaches in advancing accessible and affirming mental health care.

Beyond the certification, the gathering created space for substantive dialogue on building sustainable, community-rooted psychosocial support frameworks that centre dignity, safety, and inclusion.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our speakers, panellists, partners, and participants for contributing to a thoughtful and impactful exchange. We look forward to continued collaboration in strengthening q***r-affirmative mental health ecosystems.

Restless Development as part of the Fair Futures Forum, along with its partners, is looking to hire a Filmmaker based in Bengaluru, Karnataka for a period of 50 days, starting February 2026. We are looking for an agency/freelance filmmaker/ visual storyteller to help create a short film to capture the overall essence and impact of the work done by the collective and seeks to document this work comprehensively in video format.

🌟 We’re so proud of Shalu, our Youth Champion from the Gully Youth Lab! 🌟

Shalu represented Restless Development India and the Gully Youth Lab programme supported by Girl Effect as a panellist at the India Summit 2025, organised by Global Girls Glow.

At the virtual convening held on October 8, 2025, Shalu shared her powerful journey of building confidence, breaking gender norms, and championing equality in her community in Dakshinpuri.

The summit focused on “Integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) for Holistic Adolescent Development.”
Her story reflected how youth-led initiatives like Gully Youth Lab are strengthening young people’s voice, leadership, and wellbeing. We couldn’t be prouder to see her shine!

The Patchwork Collective — the Emerging Climate Champions Award is offering $1M in flexible, multiyear funding to youth-led organizations (ages 15–35) working on climate solutions.
