Ambassador Dr. Martin Ney held fruitful talks with Minister of Human Resource Development Smriti Irani

The German Ambassador to India, Dr. Martin Ney, met Smriti Irani, Minister of Human Resource Development, for a courtesy call on 4 December 2015. In an amicable ambiance, Ambassador Dr. Ney and Minister Irani engaged in fruitful discussions about the implementation of the agreements signed during the 3rd Indo-German Intergovernmental Consultations - such as the Memorandum of Understanding between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on “Indo-German Partnerships in Higher Education” and the Joint Declaration of Intent regarding the Promotion of German as a Foreign Language in India and the Promotion of Modern Indian Languages in Germany . The Minister and the Ambassador also elaborated on further bilateral projects in the field of science and education.
