Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer and IT Professionals. The IETE focuses on advancement of the Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computers, Information Technology and related areas. Towards this end the Institution promotes and conducts basic engineering and continuing technical education programmes for human resource development. The IETE conducts both the Graduateship (AMIETE) Examination in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology streams and Diploma (DIPIETE) Examination in Electronics &Telecommunication and Computer Science & Engineering streams. A pass in AMIETE Examination is recognised by Government of India for the purposes of recruitment to superior posts and services under the Central Government while a pass in Diploma Level (DIPIETE) Examination is recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for the purpose of employment to posts & services under the Central Government in the appropriate field. The IETE also conducts postgraduate level course ALCCS (Advanced Level Course in Computer Science) which is also recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, as equivalent to M. Tech in Computer Science for the appointment to superior posts & services under the Central Government. Sources:

Dear Student,
Greetings from IETE!
Hope you are doing fine.
It has been revealed from the records that you were enrolled with the
Institution for AMIETE (04 year engineering degree equivalent examination)
program before 31 May 2013 and you have not completed the program till
now.
It is brought to your notice that despite our best efforts to get the
recognition of the AMIETE program, the recognition was not granted by the
Hon’ble High Court of Delhi for all the students enrolled. However, Hon’ble
High Court has ruled that the degree awarded to all students who were
enrolled up to 31st May 2013 shall be recognised by the Government. (Copy
of the order can be seen at www.iete.org).
In the light of the above, IETE Governing Council has deliberated and
decided that IETE will continue to conduct examination to help all the
students enrolled up to 31st May 2013 to complete their AMIETE (04 year
engineering degree equivalent examination) by completing the pending
subjects / papers to get the recognised certificate.
You are required to send your future emails at [email protected] with subject
mentioned as “AMIETE Pending Examinations”.
Proposed schedule for the forthcoming examination will be 1st
week of May
2024, September 2024 and January 2025 subject to Governing Council
approval.
You are also advised to contact your fellow students and share this
