Poonam Singh, a Delhi-based theatre artist has been the recipient of various appreciations. Her persona is charismatic to everyone, whether they're her co-actors or those who have seen her perform. Recently, she was solicited by Doordarshan for an appreciation interview about her directorial debut "BETI BECHWA", the play written by Bhikhari Thakur and presented by Common People Theatre Society.

दिलीप जी को ICU से जनरल वार्ड में लाया गया और स्वस्थ में थोड़ी सुधार के बाद हॉस्पिटल से रिलीज कर टाटा में रिस्तेदार के घर पर रखा गया है। कल पेट में जब असहाय दर्द उठा और उन्होंने हॉस्पिटल में सलाह के लिए फोन किया तो अस्पताल प्रशाशन के द्वारा उन्हें टाला गया और अंततः 9 बजे फोन स्विच ऑफो गया। अगर कोई शुभचिंतक जो टाटा नगर में और मेडिकल सर्किल से जुड़े हो अगर आप किसी तरह का चिकित्सीय सलाह या मदद कर सके तो मेहरबानी होगी।

उपलब्धियां हमेशा हमारे जीवन को जारी नहीं रख सकती हैं। बारीकी से देखने पर थिएटर कलाकारों का एक अलग नजरिया जानने को मिलता है। पूनम सिंह, 2013 में अपने कैरियर की शुरुआती दिन इंदु आर्ट थियेटर में अभिनय करते हुए बिताया और फिर अपने प्रदर्शन के बदौलत कॉमन पीपल थिएटर सोसाइटी से जुड़ी। अपने अभिनय से ना जाने उन्होंने कितनो के दिल जीतें और फिर कभी पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। एक नवोदित निर्देशक और एक अनुभवी अभिनेत्री, पूनम सिंह ने रंजीत कपूर, संजीव कांत, डॉक्टर प्रकाश झा, मुकेश झा, ईश्वर शोने, वशिष्ठ उपाध्याय जैसे प्रतिष्ठित निर्देशकों के साथ भी काम किया और कई लघु फिल्मों के साथ "पल्टन" जैसे मुख्य धारा के सिनेमा में काम किया। उनकी अंतिम लघु-फिल्म "बालेल" को नवादा फिल्म्स द्वारा चुना गया। हिंदी, मैथिली और भोजपुरी अकादमी में उनकी कार्यशालाओं ने उन्हें असीम प्यार और संतुष्टि दी है। लेकिन जीवन को बदलते देर नहीं लगती, जहां एक पल में वह स्टेज पर अपने सपनों को जी रही थी
और अगले ही पल उनके ऊपर दुखों का अंबार सा टूट पड़ा। अपने पति के हाथों में हाथ दिए वे अस्पताल के इमरजेंसी वार्ड में उनके ठीक होने का इंतज़ार कर रही हैं जो सेरेब्रल हेमरेज से पीड़ित है। डॉक्टरों के साथ-साथ दुआओं ने भी काम किया लेकिन ना ही थिएटर और ना ही उनकी उलब्धियां, उनके पति के इलाज का खर्च उठा सकते है। उनकी मदद के लिए हम सबको अपना हाथ बढ़ाना होगा।

Poonam Singh, entertaining you with her performance since 2013, from Indu Art Theatre to Common People Theatre Society, she has never looked back. A debutant director and an experienced actor, Poonam Singh has also worked with reputed directors like Ranjeet Kapoor, Sanjeev Kant, Dr Prakash Jha, Mukesh Jha, Ishwar Shoonay, Vashisth Upadhyay and was cast in main-stream cinema-like Paltan along with numerous short films. Her last short-film Balel got selected by the Nawada Films. Her workshops at Hindi and Maithili & Bhojpuri Academy has bestowed her with immense love and satisfaction. But life is full of unexpected bombshells. She was living her dreams on stage at one moment and the next moment she landed in the emergency ward of the hospital holding hands of her beloved husband who was suffering from cerebral haemorrhage.
