Rocket Learning
We are one of India’s fastest-growing ed-tech non-profits, focused on transforming early childhood education at scale.
A little girl, pretending to be a teacher after class at Anganwadi centre, lining up her dolls and passing on everything she learned that day.
A mother, Gurleen, who studied only till Class 5 while her brother went to college, now determined that her daughter will go all the way.
These are the stories Srimoyee Sarker carries back from the field.
In this episode of Humans of Rocket Learning, Srimoyee, Media Associate, Behaviour Change and Communications Team, takes us into the heart of her work. Not the desk. Not the screen. But the ground, the Anganwadis, the homes, the quiet conversations with mothers who hold the biggest dreams for their children.
Because the best content doesn't come from a brief. It comes from listening. From sitting with mothers like Gurleen and understanding what education really means to a family like hers. And then translating that truth into something that reaches millions of parents just like her.
Srimoyee doesn't just make media. She captures the soul of the communities she visits and gives it back to them.

Here’s a glimpse of what we were up to last week at SKOLL World Forum!
At the Skoll World Forum, we joined global leaders across philanthropy, government, and civil society to talk about what it will truly take to deliver Early Childhood Care and Education at scale.
Across panels and conversations, these were our key takeaways:
Ditch the Silos: Progress for young children requires funders, implementers, and governments to work in deep partnership, not just in parallel.
Scale Over Shortcuts: Lasting impact happens by embedding solutions within government systems. In 5 years, this approach has reached 400,000+ Anganwadi workers and 6M+ parents and children.
AI with Heart: Innovation should never replace human connection. We’re using AI to amplify the agency of caregivers and frontline workers, not dilute it.
The Funding Gap: ECCE is a high-return investment, yet it receives only a fraction of global funding. The challenge isn't finding what works—it’s funding and scaling what works, faster.
Early childhood shapes every aspect of our future — health, learning, gender equality, and even economic progress. The real concern is how we can work together to make it better.
If this resonates with you, join us in transforming early childhood education across India. Follow us and be part of the change!

As part of the 8th Poshan Pakhwada 2026, a nationwide campaign by the Ministry of Women and Child Development under Mission Poshan 2.0, our state teams turned awareness into action across communities. The campaign focuses on improving maternal and child nutrition, early stimulation, and healthy behaviours along with the spotlight on maximising brain development in the first six years of life.
From Meghalaya, our team engaged with ASHA workers, community leaders, and frontline stakeholders in the Garo region, using the platform to spark conversations on maternal nutrition and introduce the importance of early childhood education.
To Rajasthan, teams worked hand-in-hand with Anganwadi centres to drive large-scale community participation through nutrition camps, storytelling sessions, toy-making workshops, and family play activities, bringing together health, learning, and behaviour change in one place.
To Uttarakhand, parents didn’t just attend the celebrations, they participated. From understanding developmental milestones to reflecting on screen time and play-based learning, families became active partners in their child’s growth journey.
While the 8th Poshan Pakhwada may have come to an end, the spirit of nutrition, early stimulation, and healthy habits continues every single day in the communities we work with.

Anganwadi workers are the frontline force behind healthier mothers and thriving children—translating national nutrition goals into everyday action within communities. They guide families on nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood, promote breastfeeding and age-appropriate feeding, monitor growth to catch malnutrition early, and connect communities to essential health services.
During the 8th Poshan Pakhwada 2026, we marked a special milestone in Chandauli, Uttar Pradedsh —recognising and celebrating the efforts of frontline champions through a certificate distribution ceremony.
Through initiatives like these, we’re strengthening ecosystems—where nutrition, play-based learning, and community come together to build stronger beginnings.

What began as a focused effort in early childhood development has grown into a national movement, now reaching 200+ districts across 16 States and Union Territories.
Today, we are impacting 6 million children (0–6 years) across 420,000 classrooms in India, powered by a network of 400,000+ Anganwadi workers, reaching nearly 30% of India’s public education ecosystem.
From Uttarakhand to Tripura, Punjab to Andhra Pradesh, and even the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, this is what scale with intent looks like.
This progress is fuelled by a collective force, government partners, Anganwadi workers, parents, and communities, working together to give every child the strongest possible start.
And we’re just getting started.
🎯 Our goal: 50 million underserved children by 2030

In this episode of Humans of Rocket Learning, Srimoyee Sarkar, Associate, Behaviour Change and Media Team, takes us behind the scenes of how Chulbuli comes to life. Chulbuli isn’t just a mascot, she’s a mirror of everyday learning. Through her world, we bring play-based learning into homes, Anganwadis, and communities — making early education relatable, accessible, and joyful.
Srimoyee’s work sits at the intersection of behavioural insights, storytelling, and media innovation. Her week isn’t routine; it’s a cycle of listening, learning, and creating. With Chulbuli at the centre, Srimoyee and her team translate complex ideas into simple, relatable stories — ones that a parent can watch on WhatsApp and act on immediately.
From ideation to animation, from insight to impact — this is what real-life behaviour change looks like.
Stay tuned for Part 2!

We often ask: What should children learn? How fast? At what scale?
But what if we’re asking the wrong questions?
In his latest NDTV column, our co-founder Azeez Gupta reframes the conversation, highlighting that the foundations of learning are built long before formal schooling begins. Through everyday interactions, children develop trust, resilience, curiosity, and the confidence to explore the world.
We strongly believe the future of education lies in blending innovation with empathy where technology enables, but relationships lead.

We believe that powerful storytelling begins with prepared, confident voices. As we continue to set benchmarks in early childhood education—reaching over 6 million children (0–6 years) across 420,000 classrooms and working alongside 400,000+ Anganwadi workers in 200+ districts—we recognise that how we communicate is just as critical as what we do.
That’s why we recently brought together our Leadership teams—including key spokespeople across verticals—for an immersive media training workshop. The session was conducted by our Communications Team with multiple years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, and newsroom leadership.
Rocketeers brought their own perspectives, questions, and lived experiences—making the workshop not just informative, but deeply collaborative and relevant. And as we scale our impact, we remain committed to strengthening every voice that carries our mission forward.

Here’s how we’re building India’s early learning movement.
By working at the intersection of government systems, simple technology, and behavioural science, we are reimagining Early Childhood Development (ECD) at scale across 16 states and UTs in India. Our goal is clear: Build school readiness, foundational skills, and holistic development—especially for children (0-6 years) who need it most.
In this carousel, we share a quick look at how we are driving meaningful, lasting change on the ground.
Follow us and be part of a movement that’s giving every child a stronger start.

The first 1,000 days are not just another phase of childhood. They are the foundation on which every future milestone is built.
By this time, nearly 80% of a child’s brain development is already complete. Neural connections are forming at a pace that will never be repeated. What children experience in this window—nutrition, care, stimulation—shapes how they learn, think, and thrive for years to come.
This is why initiatives like Poshan Pakhwada 2026 are centring the first 1,000 days—bringing focus to a window that cannot be reopened.
We work alongside government systems and frontline workers to ensure this critical period is not left to chance. Because when we strengthen early environments, we don’t just support children—we shift trajectories.
