Conflict zones in today’s world include struggles around racial, ethnic and gender identities in relation to climate change, global economic earthquakes, genocides, displacement, homelessness and mass exodus across unstable geopolitical borders. Personal relationships have become increasingly political as they get entangled with communitarian ones; Art and literature around global/local spaces of activism and critical thinking, have today become the most influential ways of building solidarities through injustice, criminality, abandonment and despair. The conference will be an attempt to shed light upon various manifestations of art, literature and activism from India, Spain and Latin America amidst conflicts for human dignity, social security, and a sustainable world order.
