Immediate exciting opportunity: CommuniCraft is looking for an experienced art teacher to teach twice a week for two months (Jan-Feb) in north Delhi to 10 budding child artists with the view to hone their skills and prepare their works for an exhibition. Samvada, a project of Touch India Trust, launched its first fund raising media event in Manipur, India on the 28th Dec. 2013. Dr. Brainerd Prince gave the key note speech on the theme 'Beyond Communalism and Multiculturalism', in light of communalism as one of the issues of Manipur today. Samvada offered its dialogical method as an alternative between Communalism and Multiculturalism, the former which privileges one community over another and the latter which ignores genuine differences.
Samvada is presently in the process of setting up an international research center based in Delhi, a world-class library comprising of 5000-8000 volumes on research methodologies to equip students in their research in the Human Sciences, and an International Scholarship Fund for research students.
Samvada is pleased to announce the launching of its first fund raising media event in Manipur, India on the 28th Dec. 2013. Some dignitaries who attended the event were state ministers Phungzathang Tonsing and Victor Keishing. At Rs 23.7 crore, VS Gaitonde sets record for an Indian artist - The Times of India Gaitonde’s untitled minimalist landscape in gorgeous yellow was snapped up for Rs 20.5 crore, smashing the earlier record of Rs 16.4 core set by his peer S H Raza’s work 'Saurashtra' in 2010.
