Commendable Contribution of UNICEF Volunteers in Divyang Camp
Kondagaon: A Divyang (disabled persons) camp was organized by the Social Welfare Department to ensure that people with disabilities could benefit from government schemes. All individuals with a disability card or those already receiving disability pensions were invited to participate.

During the camp, essential assistive devices were also distributed to the beneficiaries.
UNICEF volunteers played a crucial role in organizing and managing the camp. They assisted in registration, filling out forms, and helping individuals reach the counters.

➡️ A total of 278 individuals with disabilities were registered in the camp.
➡️ Assistive devices were distributed to 59 eligible beneficiaries.

The dedication and service spirit of UNICEF volunteers significantly contributed to the success of the camp. The Social Welfare Department also appreciated their efforts.

Bijapur: Spreading the Light of Education to Remote Villages

The villages nestled deep in the forests of Bijapur still remain deprived of education. Due to being a Naxal-affected area, many schools have been shut down, and reaching these villages is a significant challenge. However, through our efforts, we have turned this challenge into an opportunity.

We train local youth as volunteers who travel to these remote villages and help educate the people. Their dedication is bringing the light of education to children who would otherwise be deprived of learning due to the lack of access to schools.

Let us all come together in this mission to ensure that knowledge reaches every child.
