India's Forward Seamen's Union General Secretary Manoj Yadav said “US CENTCOM is misleading the public over its attacks on the Palau-flagged Marivex and Settebello”. The ships were at anchor, contradicting the US account that they failed to comply with directions of the US forces despite repeated warnings. US forces attacked without effective warning and could have fired warning shots instead. The US forces knew that both the vessels had crew from India, yet they chose to attack the vessels anyway.

The Zorawar light tank currently offers protection up to STANAG Level 4, but the Indian Army has sought enhanced protection levels, requiring developers to redesign parts of the armour package. The changes are expected to delay the tank's induction by around two years. The key challenge will be improving survivability while maintaining high mobility and keeping the vehicle's weight below the 25-tonne limit.
