The Explorers

The Explorers is a club made to guide and improve young and aspiring photographers and one of our most important tool is the guidance we get from our mentors.
So, let’s meet our mentor for the photowalk, Mr. Gurinderjit Singh who hails from Amritsar but currently residing in Dehradun. He used to be an International Hockey Goalie and now working in ONGC. He started wildlife photography out of his sheer love for it but now excelling in the same. He also works as a wildlife photography expert operating in Uttrakhand Region. So come and join us on photowalk to endeavour more into the specialisations our mentor holds.

In the modern era, human civilization has witnessed considerable progress and it is lagging in the realm of our interaction with wildlife.
In order to change that The Explorers Photography club is proud to announce another photowalk *"चिड़ियाघर"*. 🐾
A photowalk that will take place in
📍 *Dehradun Zoo*
🗓️ *January 29 2023*
⏱️ *12PM to 5PM.*
This will be a unique opportunity for all of us to witness wildlife so closely and get to know more about them. ✨
From endangered mammals to vibrant avians and much more ! 🐆
That's not the end of it, we have also invited someone with immense experience, 🧔🏻‍♂️ *Mr Gurinderjit Singh* to guide us in the different genres of wildlife photography and enlighten us with their wisdom in the same. 🤩
Come and join us on this amazing journey into the wild and improve your gamut of knowledge.

Photography is an art of using light to paint our canvas with what we feel is worth remembering and reminiscing, it might feel like something very technical and difficult but it truly isn't and thus here is an opportunity for anyone wanting to learn the basics of photography.

We will be having our Virasat photowalk on Sunday, 16th Oct, 2022.

No transportation or snacks will be provided, there is no entry fee for the photowalk. However, only Explorers members are invited to attend this photowalk.

We will meet at ONGC Ambedkar stadium entry gate, at sharp 3pm, the photowalk will begin at 3:15pm.

About the Mind Rolling Monastery 🌸

The Mindrolling Monastery, also known as the Buddha Temple Complex, was established in Clement Town, Dehradun, Uttarakhand by Khochhen Rinpoche in 1965. Situated in the middle of the serene foothills of the Himalayas, the Mindrolling Monastery is one of the largest Buddhist centres in India which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country as well as abroad. Hundreds of individuals attain spirituality here on a daily basis.

Being an architectural masterpiece with several sections, the monastery is a visual wonder. The monastery exudes beauty owing to its gardens, university complex and the tallest Stupa in Asia. While surrounded by greenery, it also has numerous shrine rooms, Tibetan art forms, and murals. What might woo us with its charm the most is the presence of the tall statue of Lord Buddha.

Mr. Mridul Chaurasia hailing from Dehradun itself, he is an avid photographer and an engineer turned entrepreneur. 🙌
He has been clicking pictures for the last 7+ years and has a diverse range of fields, varying from wildlife and landscape to food and product, in which he has proven himself. 📸
We are very honoured to announce that Mr. Mridul Chaurasia will be joining us on 8th October for our Photowalk at The Mindrolling Monastery inorder to enlighten us and give us some personalized tips when it comes to photography. 🌸🌍
